Prices continued their upward trend at today’s wool sale in Napier on the back of strong demand from a competitive bench of buyers. The solid demand for wool for shipment to India and Europe we have seen over the last four to six weeks is continuing and considering over 60% of todays 9,819 bales on offer were second shear types, it appears the appetite for these types is yet to
be quenched. It must be noted that at today’s sale, the Exporters present demanded all lots containing ECONO packs must be repacked in compliant packs prior to delivery from the wool store. With this in mind please remember that the ECONO pack should not be used to press wool into bales and should be removed from the woolshed.
