N38 – Wool Sale – 18 March 2021

Wool prices continued to firm for all types at today’s North Island sale. With one of the largest offerings this year between the North and South Island it was encouraging to see the market maintain the increasing trend from previous weeks. Again, competition was well spread amongst exporters with 99% of the CP Wool catalogue selling. Recent strong inquiry from overseas markets, especially China, is adding momentum to the positive trend. Well prepared fleece and second shears were achieving a 70cent premium over lesser types today as the trade were prepared to pay for the quality.

XBD Fleece and 2nd shear ~ Generally 10% dearer.
