Wool prices continued their side-ways trend at today’s Napier sale. The majority of the wool on offer today could be described as poor, with high colour and VM (vegetable matter) readings, meeting some resistance from the buying bench. That said, 90% of the offering sold with all buyers active. International conditions remain fraught with issues stemming from continuing Covid19 outbreaks. This has been worsened with the recent rampage of the virus in India, an economy that recently has been a major buyer of New Zealand XBD wool. Some countries are still heading back into lock-down with parts of Germany in lock-down until June for example.
