Prices at today’s North Island wool sale held up on par with last week’s sale. Good colour fleece and shears tended to firm during the sale as these wool were sought after from the buyers. With the warm moist conditions across the North Island we are seeing colour getting worse especially in the fleece wool. Competition was well spread across the 13 buyers albeit on a small sale.
XBD Fleece BB/B and B style ~ Generally unchanged. / B minus and B/C style ~ 3% cheaper.
XBD 2nd Shear BB and BB/B style ~ 1% dearer. / B and B/C style ~ 1 to 3% cheaper
XBD Hgt Fleece and 2nd Shear ~ Generally par to 2% cheaper.
1st Lambs ~ Nominally par to 1% cheaper.
XBD Oddments ~ 3% cheaper.
