Prices at today’s North Island sale continued to ease for all types. The strong NZD against the USD, now at levels we have not seen since mid-2018, is restricting any new business. Worsening Covid-19 restrictions affecting UK and Europe along with India, which has stopped buying, as their demand has slowed are combining to take back the price gains we had two months ago.
XBD Fleece ~ 10% cheaper.
XBD 2nd Shear ~ 5 to 10% cheaper.
XBD Hgt Fleece 32mic and finer ~ 10 to 15% cheaper.
33mic and coarser 8 to 10% cheaper.
XBD 2nd Shear Hgt ~ 5 to 10% cheaper.
XBD Oddments ~ 10 to 15% cheaper.
