Today's South Island wool sale saw prices continue to improve across all categories. With a softening in currency of 4.5% not seen for some time, and renewed Chinese and Indian interest, these were the main indicators for the improved levels.

Better quality wool was certainly keenly sought after, especially good coloured shears. Lambs wool
longer than 75mm (combing length) certainly found a market where competition was stronger.
