Home C37 – Wool Sale – 10 March

Todays market saw prices ease across all types. The market struggled to maintain levels of previous weeks due to the high volume of high colour and high Vm in lambs wool currently being offered in the North and South Islands. A total of 16,000 bales in one day, as well as uncertainty in the World regarding Russia and the Ukraine, was enough to unsettle the market.
It was disappointing considering things have been going well since Christmas, with exporters being able to sell wool on a consistent basis.
Good colour fleece and shears were not as badly affected as the poorer styled wools. Lambs wool is still very erratic with limited competition.
