Home C17 & N17 – Wool Sale – 26 October 2023

At yesterday's North Island sale the market remained stable in comparison to the last North Island sale. After approximately 1.5 hours of selling, prices moved up and the market closed on a high. Again competition was well spread through the buyers.
Prices for the South Island sale yesterday, were mixed. Full length crossbred fleece, good colour and average colour was slightly cheaper, with all good colour shears firm to slightly dearer. All hogget types were firm.
Mid Micron wools showed some good competition, especially 25.0 to 26.5 micron with all other micron categories firm. Merino levels eased across all Micron categories. The softening of the currency of 3.7% certainly helped the market in certain categories. Chinese types continue to be well supported.
