Update on ECONO Wool Packs

Wool Works (formerly New Zealand Wool Scours) and Wool Dumpers have made the decision, from 1 July 2021, not to accept wool that has been packed into ECONO wool packs.
It is very likely that some of these packs will still be in the system, either as un-used in woolsheds, packed in bales stored in woolsheds, and in private merchants and wool brokers' stores.
Our advice to CP Wool clients is as follows;

  • Please do not use ECONO packs from now on and return any unused ECONO packs to the retailer you bought them from, and get a refund or a replacement pack.
  • If you have wool packed in ECONO packs stored in your woolshed or at one of our wool stores, please work with our CP Wool team to move these bales through the system in a timely manner.

ECONO packs can be easily recognised by the tag on the side - see image above.
Please don’t hesitate to contact your CP Wool rep or nearest CP Wool store/depot for further information.
